Making a fish pond combined with growing clean vegetables is a good idea for the aquarist who likes cooking.
The water culture system not only provides clean vegetables for your family but also creates the Oxy for your fish tank. You'll want to watch the full 15 minutes video and learn to make a fish pond combined with growing clean vegetables. The materials for this DIY project are simple and include red brick, cement, sand, bamboo pipe, glass, mini pump, plastic cup, filter cotton, roll ruler, PVC pipe, plastic fitting, electric handy cutter, paintbrush, and an electric drill. Shop Tiny Homes The paint color is blue.
First, you'll want to clear out a spot in a quiet area in your backyard.
You'll want to make sure the area is level so you can start building your fish pond/vegetable garden. Next, the four corner red bricks are placed accordingly, and this is when you will use your roll ruler, or measuring tape to properly place bricks as done in the video. You will then prepare your cement mixing it with water, and stirring until you have the right consistency. You will use the mixed cement to place your bricks and join together the four corner bricks, you will then see the shape of the project come into effect. The center area of the DIY project will then be filled with sand to level up the bricks.
Now you will start your second layer of the project, using the cement to again place the bricks, just as you did with the first layer, but with one brick in so you will have a smaller rectangle than the first layer, the center will again be filled with sand.
The third layer is similar to the other two layers, again going in brick, so the rectangle is smaller than the last, but you will place your bricks sideways rather than flat, and again use the cement to place them. For this layer, you will leave the front wall open as per the video. You'll continue doing a fourth and a fifth layer, just like the third, with the bricks on their sides, and placing them with the cement while leaving the front of the building project open. This part of the DIY project will be 5 bricks high.
Now you will cover the back and side walls of the bricks with cement and flatten them using your tool.
You will place bricks at the front of the wall, and add more cement to the interior of the fish pond, as well as the front bricks of the project. Make sure everything is level. Next, you will measure out and cut with your electric handy saw the bamboo pipe to be used in the DIY project, and place it according to the video. Now you will measure out and cut your PVC pipe, and place it into the bamboo pipes in the fish pond. At this stage of the project you will paint the cement, in the video, they use nice blue paint. You will want to watch the entire video to see the final result.
