The owners live on-site and they also have 2 other cabin rentals. While the cabin is just a short drive to town, it is still in the Hill Country which means you may encounter wildlife such as snakes, deer, raccoons, and more so you will want to be aware of your surroundings, and take caution while driving at night. You may also encounter various bugs, spiders, scorpions, and mice that live in the country and sometimes do make their way inside. All properties do utilize pest control services regularly but this does not guarantee pests or bugs will not be visible. If this is an issue it's probably not the vacation home for you.

Enchanted Rock State Natural Area.
Perched on the Llano Uplift about 17 miles from Fredericksburg, there is a magnificent pink granite dome named Enchanted Rock that can be seen from many miles around. To protect this interesting geological and historic area, the Enchanted Rock is now part of the Enchanted Rock State Natural Area, which includes the Rock and the land south of Llano River between Gillespie and Llano counties. Covering about 640 acres and 425 feet high, humans have been visiting the rock for more than 10,000 years as the remains of spearheads and similar artifacts indicate.
