Some exciting news has just been announced by Volkswagen in the form of an all-electric vehicle.
Due to popular demand, the company announced that they are planning on selling a production version of the award-winning vehicle. The modern electric vehicle will be released in 2022 in the United States, China and Europe. Many will be happy with the I.D. Shop Tiny Homes Buzz concept as one of the most beautiful and exciting electric cars in the world. The goal for the company is to make the vehicles fully electric, and a fully connected car. It's exciting that the iconic car of the electric age will be a Volkswagen.
The I.D.
Buzz is only the second EV concept that Volkswagen has revealed for production, along with the original I.D. concept that is slated to enter production around 2019 as a 2020 model, while the I.D. Crozz concept vehicle has shown how an electric Volkswagen SUV might look. All three of the vehicles use VW’s Modular Electric Drive kit, which is a group of components and chassis parts that are engineered to maximize the potential of electric drive and future technology. These electric cars will offer everything than you have seen from other electric carmakers, and the good news is that they will be much more affordable.
The electric vehicle is designed to recall the original Type 2 Microbus without completely mimicking it; the I.D.
Buzz vehicle concept has won several awards in the months since it was first revealed at the Detroit Auto Show. The front V in the bodywork of the vehicle calls back to the two-tone predecessor on the original Volkswagen Bus, but in the I.D. Buzz vehicle carries a light strip that surrounds the electric vehicle and gives it a unique visual signature. The LED headlights on the electric vehicle have hexagonal segments that act as eyes to communicate the vehicle’s status. The electric Volkswagen vehicle has near-zero body overhangs and 22-inch wheels and manages to look modern and timeless, one of the hallmarks of the Volkswagen brand design.
The first Volkswagen Bus sold in the United States in 1950 had only 30 hp.
The Volkswagen I.D. Buzz concept sports vehicle has 369 hp from the electric motors located on each axle that also provides all-wheel drive and the 111 kWh battery pack that is found in the floor of the Volkswagen MEB chassis provide nearly 300 miles of estimated range. The electric car uses Volkswagen's fast-charge system and can recharge about 80 percent of its energy capacity in only 30 minutes at 150 kW. But just like the original Volkswagen Microbus, the design and engineering of the I.D. Buzz concept and MEB platform provide ample space for passengers or cargo, with an expansive view of the surroundings. There’s also a front trunk, just like the original Volkswagen Beetle car.

Buzz concept also offers a preview of the type of autonomous technology that Volkswagen will develop for future vehicle models, mostly with its fully automated I.D. Pilot mode that could go into production by 2025. From the fold-away steering wheel and the pop-up laser scanners in the roof to a heads-up display that integrates augmented reality, the Volkswagen I.D. Buzz does not lack for innovation.
