For a straightforward stroll suitable for all abilities you can simply explore the village and surrounding area. The quiet country roads offer flat terrain to walk (or even run if you pack your running things) or push prams and push chairs. These local routes are ideal for just a 10-minute walk or a simple round-the-village circuit (approx 40 mins) straight out of the entrance to Wolds Edge. There are some local bridleways and footpaths that are also flat, although not always great for small wheels. It would be worth bringing your boots for these through the winter months.
Longer Local Routes.
Fangfoss Circuit or Worsendale Hill (longer local routes). There is a super 8km circuit that takes you straight out of Wolds Edge, cross country and along the local roads, and back to your lodge with the added benefit of a lovely local pub halfway for refreshments. Heading over to Fangfoss on this local bridleway and then on footpaths along the road and back, this is a fantastic route for any day. You could always try a more challenging 8km route by taking the route up the local Worsendale Hill and across the top of the Wold and back down into the village. Although not for the faint-hearted, the view on a clear day from the top is magnificent.
